耿德华(Edward Mansfied Gunn)教授，美国哥伦比亚大学中国文学博士。1978年受聘于康奈尔大学。两度出任康奈尔大学亚洲研究系主任，逾十五年。现任康奈尔大学东亚中心主任。主要研究20世纪中国小说、话剧、电影、文化批评、流行文化、中文叙事文体，以及中国当代地方媒体与文学中的方言等。
